me

My name is Lorraine Siena Reid. Many years ago I had a cake decorating and chocolate molding business. I started working out of my home and was very successful. I looked into setting up a store front. Aside from picking a great location and obtaining the proper licenses, I needed to purchase additional equipment and hire responsible people to help me run the business. What seemed like a great idea was turning into an expensive headache. I then looked into buying into an existing bakery franchise. I figured since everything was already in place, I could just open for business. As it turns out, to buy into a franchise is usually very expensive and everything must be done exactly as all the other locations do it. Not only was the cost excessive (much more than I was willing to spend), I couldn’t deviate from what all the other locations were doing ? in short I wouldn’t be able to use my cake decorating skills or chocolate molding in my new business. Needless to say, this was not the business for me. I gave up my dream of owning my own business and decided to go back to school.

While in school I had to figure out what at the time would make me the most amount of money in the shortest amount of time. At the time, the answer was computers. I enrolled in as many computer classes as I could and when I graduated, I joined the corporate world as a programmer analyst. Corporate America was very good to me. My first programming job was for an advertising agency. I lasted a couple of years. When I realized I had risen as far as I could, I knew it was time to move on. My next job was as a programmer analyst for a brokerage house. I worked my way up the corporate ladder, becoming an officer of the company and one of their top troubleshooters. In the 20-plus years at the brokerage house, I more than quintupled (5x) my salary. Although I loved what I was doing and was making a boat load of money, a changing economy convinced me it was time to retrain for a new career. Looking back, I realize I was very fortunate in the fact that I was able to foresee the falling economy and acted in front of the decline.

I enrolled in the New York Academy for Dog Trainers, where I worked with rescue dogs, saving several dogs from being euthanized by rehabilitating them through training. After graduation, I started my own dog training business. Although working with dogs and their owners is quite rewarding, I needed something more. I did not want to find a 9 to 5 job but I did want something that would give me a little more spending money. After weighing all the choices out there, a friend introduced me to Social Marketing.

With Social Marketing I could continue playing and working with the dogs while at the same time earn extra income by posting on facebook and twitter. And, much to my surprise, the startup cost was minimal. To me, this was a win-win situation! I knew it was time for a change and I took it! My background is quite diverse. I have experience working one on one, in groups, leading a team, and alone. I am goal oriented and believe wholeheartedly that failure is not an option. Network marketing is a wonderful business to be in but it is not for everyone. Click the link above and let's have a chat to see if this is the right business for you!
